NAPA FLIPBOOK -KILPAILU 2010

Napa Books järjestää vuosittaisen Napa Flipbook -kilpailun nyt kolmatta kertaa!
Kilpailun voittajatyö julkaistaan Napa Books -kustantamon toimesta joulukuussa 2010. Kilpailuehdotusten viimeinen lähetyspäivä on 1.11.2010.
KILPAILUEHDOTUKSEN TEKO-OHJEET

Napa on painattanut kilpailua varten tyhjän flipbookin.
Voit myös helposti tehdä koko flipin itse:
- Ota n. 80 kpl puolitettua A5- kokoiseksi leikattua kopiopaperia
- Piirrä lyijykynällä jokaisen paperin yläkulmaan kuva-alan rajat 85 x 55 mm (vaaka)
Jätä paperin oikea reuna flipin reunaksi, älä siis piirrä ruutua kokonaan paperin sisään.
- Ideoi ensin, piirrä sitten, tekniikka on vapaa. Aloita viimeisestä kuvasta tai käytä apuna valopöytää.
Voit poistaa ja lisätä sivuja jos joku kuva epäonnistuu. Lopullisia sivuja tulisi olla 75.
- Flipbookin kansissa voi käyttää värejä, sisältä sen tulee olla mustavalkoinen.
- Kun flip on valmis, leikkaa kulman kuvat irti kuvan vasenta ja alareunaa pitkin.
- Tee Flipistä tukevasti sidottu kirjanen (kuminauhalla, niiteillä tms.)
Lähetä ehdotuksesi kuoressa viimeistään 1.11.2010.
Liitä mukaan nimesi, osoitteesi, sähköpostiosoitteesi ja puhelinnumerosi.
Jos haluat meidän palauttavan työsi, laita mukaan myös kuori jossa tarpeellinen
määrä postimerkkejä ja osoitteesi. Otamme yhteyttä kaikkiin osanottajiin marraskuun 2010 aikana.

The 3rd yearly international Napa Flipbook Competition is here!
The winning flip book will be published in December 2010 by Napa Books.
Deadline for sending your work is November 1st 2010.
CREATING YOUR OWN FLIPBOOK FOR SUBMISSION

Napa has printed empty flipbooks for the competition which can be bought from Napa webshop. You can also easily make your own flipbook from scratch:
- Start with 40 sheets of A4 printer paper.
- Cut the paper in half, creating 80 A5's
- Orient the paper length wise and in the upper right corner draw in pencil a 85 x 55 mm (horizontal on every sheet.)
- Develop your ideas first and then draw, you can use any style you want.
- Draw your story into the boxes. Start in pencil and then go over with pen when you are satisfied with your work.
- Start with the last image, or use a light table to keep track of your progress.
- Keep your drawings on the right side of the box (when flipping the far left will be hidden).
- Add or remove pages where and when needed. In the end, your flipbook should have 75 pages.
- The flipbook cover can be full color, but the inside images must be black and white.
- When your drawings are done, cut the boxes out leaving about 10mm empty space at left side of the box.
- Bind your flipbook by either using strong staples or a rubberband.
- Submit!
All submissions must be sent by November 1st, 2010. Be sure to include your name, address, e-mail and phone number along with your work. If you would like to have your work sent back after the competition make sure to send an envelope with your address and sufficient postage along with your work. We will contact all the participants during November 2010.
